I started ‘Goodness is Gorgeous’ as an outlet for my love of vegan food, healthy recipes and a way of sharing my food photography; because if I’m honest I enjoy photographing food just as much as I do eating it.
On this blog you can find easy-to-follow, vegan, gluten-free recipes; most of which focus on whole, healthy and natural ingredients.
I swapped country living for life in London where I work as a freelance food and product photographer. As well as a blogger and content creator. Want to work with me? Click here to find out more about my services. When I’m not working I can be found; at the farmers market, shopping for props, hanging out at my favourite vegan restaurant or in the kitchen dancing to 90s music.
My Vegan Journey
I haven’t always been vegan; I grew up eating little fruit, almost no vegetables, I was fussy and the biggest meat eater. It’s no wonder I was bloated all of the time and suffered with bad skin. I pretty much lived off meat, fish, dairy products and junk food.
It was only after becoming aware of an underlying health condition (VEDS for those that are interested) that things started to change. I realised I needed to take my health more seriously. I did some research and a whole new world had opened up to me. As I learned more about the impacts of a healthy diet I began to make changes. Initially giving up dairy and learning to like fruit and vegetables to eliminating all animal products after watching the documentary Earthlings.
Since switching to a plant-based diet 4 years ago I feel better than I ever did as a teenager. My skin’s cleared up, my digestion has improved and I have way more energy. If I could recommend one book for you to read that’s helped me thrive on this way of eating it would be How not to Die by Dr McGregor – it changed everything for me.
Any questions, drop me a message. I’d love to hear from you! Stacey x
