Cranberry Orange Spice Smoothie, a great alternative for those looking for a non-alcoholic beverage this Christmas
I know what you’re thinking, it’s December and I’m posting a smoothie recipe, what?
I’m aware that it’s not exactly smoothie weather right now but this particular smoothie has been making me feel very festive. Cinnamon, cranberry and orange are all such wonderful Christmas flavours and taste even more wonderful all together.
This is also probably the healthiest I’m going to get this month so if you’re looking for a way to justify all of those sweet treats or just want to add in some extra fruit between the mince pies and chocolate, this is for you.
This smoothie is also nice if you’re looking for a cool, refreshing non-alcoholic beverage. I’m one of those people that rarely drink alcohol so I’ll probably be found sipping on one or two of these instead.
This Cranberry Orange Spice Smoothie is:
- 1 cup. fresh orange juice
- ¾ cup. frozen cranberries
- ¼ cup. oats
- 1/4 cup. plain soy yoghurt
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup if needed
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Simply blend all of the ingredients together and serve, add maple syrup to taste.
